Abstract

This study examines the international strategies adopted by the Rightly Guided Caliphs (Khulafa al-Rashidin) and evaluates their global impacts in both historical and contemporary contexts. It explores the foundational principles that governed their foreign policy, including justice, peaceful coexistence, diplomatic engagement, treaty-making, and ethical conduct in warfare. The research highlights how these strategies contributed to the expansion and consolidation of the early Islamic state while maintaining a balance between political authority and moral responsibility. By employing a qualitative and analytical approach, the study further investigates the relevance and applicability of these strategies in modern international relations. It argues that the Rashidun model offers valuable insights for contemporary global politics, particularly in promoting justice, conflict resolution, interfaith harmony, and sustainable diplomatic relations. The findings suggest that the legacy of the Rightly Guided Caliphs continues to provide a significant framework for ethical and principled international engagement in the modern world.
