“A research review on Parent-Child Relationships in the Light of Sunan al-Tirmidhi”

Abstract

This study explores the nature of parent-child relationships as presented in Sunan al-Tirmidhi, one of the major collections of Hadith in Islamic tradition. The research examines the ethical, social, and spiritual dimensions of mutual rights and responsibilities between parents and children. It highlights key teachings related to obedience, respect, compassion, upbringing, and moral development within the family structure. By analyzing relevant narrations, the study aims to demonstrate how Prophetic guidance provides a comprehensive framework for strengthening family bonds and promoting social harmony. Furthermore, the research discusses the practical implications of these teachings in contemporary society, emphasizing their relevance in addressing modern familial challenges. The study adopts an analytical and descriptive methodology to derive principles that contribute to the development of a balanced and ethically grounded family system.
