The Islamic Model of Comprehensive Social Security: Principles, Means, and Practical Application

Abstract

Comprehensive social protection is an important principle that ensures rights and well-being of individuals in any social system. It is also a concept in Islamic teachings. The Quran and Hadith emphasize the principles of helping people, eradicating poverty, and equality. The purpose of this study is to understand principles of comprehensive social protection according to Islamic teachings and clarify their role in social development. In an Islamic society, every individual has right to a reasonable standard of living. This study will examine how Islamic teachings strengthen social protection policies. The objective of this study is to examine principles of comprehensive social protection in Islamic teachings and understand the impact of Islamic teachings on existing social protection systems. This study will adopt a qualitative research methodology to achieve quality. This is qualitative research that will be based on secondary sources, in which references from the Quran and Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, and current literature will be analyzed to fully understand the Islamic perspective. Comprehensive social protection plays an important role in an Islamic society that ensures the well-being of every individual. Through this, a systematic help is provided for the poor, orphans, and needy people. In Islamic teachings, social justice and respect for rights have been given importance in every possible way.
