Abstract

Marriage is a great act of worship that began with Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) and is the means of the existence and survival of the human race and the cause of the birth of the righteous and the devout (peace be upon him). Marriage, if performed according to the Sharia, is a source of modesty, and modesty as well as a source of prosperity and happiness. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: اِلْتَمِسُوا الرِّزْقَ بِالنِّكَاحِ  Seek sustenance through marriage. Hazrat Allama Abdul Rauf Manawi (may Allah have mercy on him) says in his explanation: When the intention of marriage is good, this marriage brings blessings and increases sustenance.
