Abstract

This article critically evaluates the scholarly contributions related to Iqbal Studies published in the HEC-recognized research journal Noor-e-Tahqeeq, a flagship publication of Lahore Garrison University. Through a thematic and qualitative review of selected research papers, the article examines how various scholars have interpreted Allama Iqbal’s thought, poetry, philosophy, and socio-political vision. The analysis reveals a diverse range of perspectives—ranging from discussions on Iqbal’s reconstruction of Islamic theology to his role in the Pakistan Movement and contemporary relevance. While some articles exhibit rigorous referencing and conceptual clarity, others remain limited by a lack of critical engagement and textual substantiation. Nonetheless, the overall contribution of the journal in promoting Iqbal Studies is commendable. This review aims to guide future researchers in deepening their approach to Iqbal's multifaceted legacy through more cohesive, contextual, and critical scholarship.
