Abstract

Deputy Nazir Ahmad was an Urdu novel writer, social and religious reformer and orator. He is the first Urdu novelist visionary who created a respectable storehouse of literature for women. Nazir Ahmad wrote many letters to his son. The uniqueness of Nazir Ahmad letters is that he made them a source of advice and guidance. Through his letters he has exhorted the good principles of ethics, religion and education. In his letters, the warmth of his thoughts and ideas, emotions and feelings can also be felt. His aim was to educate and train his son and reforms and guide him. They are aimed at son`s education and most of the letters are related to curricular issues and character building and some of his hobbies, engagements of local politics and complex issues of family life. In some letters the important issues of national life have been discussed and in a few letters all the merits and demerits of the English language and English civilization have been mentioned. In this article we discuss all the aspects and stylistic of prose of Nazir Ahmad`s letters.
