Plagiarism is the act of presenting the work of others as one's own without proper attribution. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Claiming ownership of ideas or findings that originated with someone else
  • Failing to give proper credit for borrowed material
  • Self-plagiarism, which is reusing one's own work without proper citation

AHQAQ's Expectations

All AHQAQ members and contributors are expected to:

  • Conduct their work with honesty and integrity
  • Clearly identify and cite all sources used in their work
  • Give proper credit to the authors of borrowed material
  • Avoid self-plagiarism by properly citing their own previous work
  • Report any suspected instances of plagiarism to the appropriate AHQAQ authority

Consequences of Plagiarism

Violations of this Plagiarism Policy may result in serious consequences, including:

  • Removal from AHQAQ membership or projects
  • Formal disciplinary action
  • Damage to one's professional reputation

Procedures for Addressing Potential Violations

Any individual who suspects a violation of this Plagiarism Policy should report the suspected violation to the AHQAQ Ethics Committee. The Ethics Committee will investigate the allegation and determine the appropriate course of action. The accused individual will be given an opportunity to respond to the allegations and present any relevant evidence.

Confidentiality

All reports of plagiarism and the subsequent investigations will be treated with confidentiality to the extent possible.

AHQAQ is committed to providing its members and contributors with the resources and information they need to understand and avoid plagiarism. AHQAQ will offer workshops, seminars, and online resources on plagiarism prevention.
